“I first met Ms. Joy at a meeting she ran weekly at the Potomac Job Corps Center located in Washington, DC, where I was a student. As a teenager, I struggled with traumas, anger issues, inflicted pain I caused on myself due to insecurities and a lack of love from my parents. These issues resulted in no real guidance and the list goes on. However, only God knows that she was placed in my life at the right time. After graduating Job Corps, I knew I still required a mentor so I joined Catch Them Young shortly after because I knew the only person, I could trust with guiding me in truth was Ms. Joy. The magnitude of blessings I received with the foundations and principles Catch Them Young Inc. has taught me changed my life tremendously! Due to Ms. Joy’s persistence and loyalty to helping the youth, not only her teachings but by her examples of love and wisdom exposed me to a new life. I was given a foundation that can be passed down for many generations to come. Staying committed, with her guidance I gained a love for myself, a humble attitude and peace from my childhood traumas. I can now pass down to my children as a result. I will always be thankful for what she has done and the type of example she has been in my life.”
